Expending one or more nights at Foreana island could be the best idea to experience a peacefull and full of stars nights, the black beach is one nice spot for night walking, easy to observe the stars, constellations and some times shooting stars. On the main dock at night sometimes you can observe some stingrays, sea birds and sea lions sleeping. The community likes to play “ecuavolly” at the “Perla court”, some football, basket and also playing cards.
If you like to have a drink the re a nice place just at the end of the black beach, om the night there is some music and some games like cards and others.
If you like history, the Wittmer family has a small museum, with many interesting machines and old pictures from Galapagos. This family was one of the first families to move to Galapagos island and are an icon of the culture of the archipelago.
There are some good and nice restaurants to try something new like the famous “canchalagua pizza” at the Canchalagua restaurant, Lecocarpus and Oasis de la Baronesa.
It is recommended to snorkel at Loberia beach, but be sure that you are not crossing to the small beach at the end of the bay because it is a small colony of sea lions and we try not to disturb them. Loberia is the perfect place for turtles, but also early on the morning for blue-footed boobies and penguins. Black beach it’s a nice spot for a good snorkeling too, there use to be iguanas and sea lions swimming.
If you like to practice kayak a nice route to do it departure from Black beach to Loberia beach – Black beach.
If you like to ride a bike there is also a nice place for renting at “Black beach house” on the Wittmer family. There is a nice place called Allieri Hill – ist’s a nice view point that you should walk some steps to get there, but the view is fantastic. You can go to the Asilo de la Paz (highlands – pirates caves, fresh water slope and the maze, but we recommend to do this on a tour with a naturalist guide certify by the Galapagos National Park, because you will get a complete and right information from the place).
If you like to walk a bit, at 15 minutes from the port it is a nice lagoon called “Laguna de los pulpos” – octopus lagoon, sometimes there ir flamingos and in the way there you can find some sea birds flying around (the walking it’s kind of hard – recommended to walk with hiking shoes).
The beach of post office offers the opportunity to swing and play with sea lions, penguins, rays and colorful fish. At the end of the tour there is a nice walk to the view point of the Baroness.

The Daphne Islands (Daphne Major and Minor) are two small volcanic islands in the Galapagos Islands archipelago. Although easily accessible to most visitors to the Galapagos Islands, the National Park Service keeps visits to the islands very restricted and it is used primarily for scientific research. Biologists Peter and Rosemary Grant carried out an intensive study of Darwin's finches over a period of 20 years. They examined the behavior and life cycles of the finches, and the results strongly supported Darwin's theory of evolution.
